Hi
I had used dchip a couple of years ago (finding it very useful) and
had no trouble importing files of the U133A_2 Affy chips. I have now
completed a new set of experiments again using the U133A_2 chips (to
keep things as similar as possible), and am now finding that I get an
error message each time I try to import the cel files using dChip. I
have tried reloading the affy library and gene information files, and
the error message remains the same.

The error message is:
Cannot find header line in 'D:\ etc...\NML2009110901.CEL', ignored

this is repeated for all the chips that I tried to upload and the
final error message is:

Found no files of this type: are the correcty data directory, data
file type or CDF file specified?

Does anyone know whether this error message "cannot find header line"
is actually related to a change Affy may have made to the layout of
the cel files, such that dchip is no longer able to read them in?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
many thanks

Elizabeth

Elizabeth,

You can uncheck "Open group/options/check CEL file array type" to get
around this. It's due to the new CEL file format.
