Hi,

I am new to dChip. I would very appreciate if anyone can help me with
the following question:

I am trying to export PM/MM. The output file that I got (using Tool--
>Export Probe set") has column names
"X","Y","Position","Probeset","Probe", "Array","PM","MM","Bkgrd" and
"Theta". Is it possible to export a file with each column referring to
conditions, and rows referring to gene names. I basically want a
matrix that reflects the heatmap.

Thank you very much.

Wendy,

Use "Tools/Export expression value".

Hi Cheng,

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I tried "export expression value" before. The file only has conditions in the first row, but no expression levels are output. I guess it may because I did not give a gene information file. I made a gene information file and run my microarray again. It gives me following errors

(1) "Not a CDF file or not in a txt format". Do I need to convert the CDF file into a txt file? I attempt to do so and tried to open the CDF file in notepad and wordpad. It gave me crazy symbols. The CDF file that I am using is attached.

(2) "Cannot file Affymetrix analysis call file 'F:\.....\....\...txt'
No matching TXT file; calculating Presence calls.."

Thank you very much.
Wendy
