Subject: Special Invitation to Team DC Scholarship Reception

Good Evening Friends,
As many of you know, Team DC established a College
Scholarship Program that would be awarded to a gay or lesbian
student-athlete. We had hoped to have combine the Scholarship Reception
with the first annual Team DC Champion's Reception, but summertime and too much
going on conspired against that plan! We have
moved the Champion's Reception to September 15 and you'll be getting news about
that shortly.
However, we wanted to take an opportunity for leaders in
the LGBT sports community and our supporters to have a chance to meet our
College Scholarship winners. Team DC will be hosting a Reception to honor
these fine student-athletes on Sunday, July 27 from 5-7
PM. The event will be held at the Capital City Brewing Company at
2 Massachusetts Avenue, NE (Union Station location). This will be a very special event, so I sincerely hope you can join us.
The event isfree and we will
offer non-alcoholic drinks and lots of nice food along with a cash bar.
You must RSVP so we can plan accordingly, so please email me at presid...@teamdc.org and let me know if
you (and any of your family and teammates) would like to attend.
Space is limited, so please respond ASAP and before Friday, July 25 at
Noon.
