Sr. Software Tester/Quality Assurance
Experience
* Minimum of 10 years IT experience. * Six years experience in
software Testing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control or Quality
Engineering disciplines with a solid testing background. * Exposure to
GUI or client/server verification and validation.
Beneficial skills include:
* Working knowledge of Rational tools * Software development
background * Experience developing functional test automation *
Experience developing performance test automation * Exposure to
mainstream programming languages is preferred. * Experience performing
IV&V and associated documentation.
Education
* Degree in Computer Science, Quality Assurance or equivalent
experience or certifications.
Competencies
* Experience with commonly used software development methodologies,
processes, concepts, practices, and procedures. * Experience
generating and performing manual testing and reporting results to a
defect tracking system/process. * Knowledge and experience with
version control and defect tracking systems. * Excellent interpersonal
skills and communication skills. * Must possess creative and
analytical problem solving and exceptional technical skills. *
Understanding of software lifecycle * Comfortable working
independently and with a team. * Comfortable following process and
procedures * Working knowledge and experience using SQL
Responsibilities
* Execute, create, maintain and improve manual test plans. * Report to
and utilize defect-tracking system for issue management. * Verify
issues submitted to defect tracking system for accuracy and
repeatability. * Perform System, Regression, Acid and Acceptance
testing. * Create, follow and maintain processes and their
documentation.
