I agree! Reminds me of a couple of parties I've been to over the years
attended by BBS people where as soon as they find a computer in the house,
they all gather around it. Kinda gives everyone who uses a computer a bad
name by association.

Another opinion:
Great! I think this is a wonderful, innovative idea. A way to draw
people in, even if out of curiosity. Maybe logging in will be a process
that STARTS conversations. Was this sponsored by "Communications Station?"
What a cool neighborhood.

It sounds perverse when you compare it to having a nice time at
a restaurant. But when you compare it to being shut up alone all
day in front of your computer - it actually sounds quite appealing.
It would probably make most sense around a campus, or some place where
many people interact only with their computers all day, and would enjoy
doing it in a nice restaurant, with decent food and not only vending
machine junk.

Thought I'd throw in another point of view :) .

Here is my $.02:

I think it could be quite a lot of fun to go to a Cafe with a bunch of
friends and eat, drink, and Surf the Net. Imagine a few people sitting
around and chatting on the IRC, or browsing News. Many a time there
have been several people at my home riding in the back seat of my Net
Cruiser and we had a ball reading outrageous Newsgroups and surfing
the Web.

Where is this place at again, I'd love to check it out.
