On face value it seems to be focusing more on the 'enterprise' details of such technologies, rather than the gritty/dirty technical details (can anyone correct me on this??)

Looks like it could be an interesting convention. but bit worried a whole day of enterprise talks might melt my brain (in the bad sense!)

Any thoughts??

I certainly thing there're too many talks for any of them to go into significant tech detail; I'm really just after a fresh injection of ideas and, of course, the hallway track. I'm also keen to meet some real-world Riak and Cassandra users for a chat, and will hopefully bump into them :)

Cheers,
Dan

I'm actually tempted to go along - purely for inspiration / shits and giggles.

I'll check if budget will allow for a day out :) Anyone else thinking of turning up??

I haven't been along to any of the Django meetups yet, when's the next one?

But I'm heading along to this and hopefully PyconUK the week after next in Coventry.

Cheers,
Jon Holloway.

I was considering PyconUK as I also live in Coventry (just 5 minutes from the venue in fact) - not 100% sure on it yet though.

I'll be there. I enjoyed last year's, and there were several people I also meet at DjangoCon Europe each year who go.

Hello all,

Just bought my ticket for All Your Base conf - looking forward to it!

These last few weeks we've had at least two clients approach us about long term "big data" requirements (>100GB), as well as a few other internal projects... so it's given me a much needed kick.

Feel free to come up and say hi!

Hello Folks,

I'm the organiser of All Your Base Conf, and a full time developer. I really hope the content is enterprise! I am aiming for the exact opposite.

The idea of the day is to blast through as much DB tech as possible, giving just enough insight to each to spark ideas in the attendees.

Personally Matt's talk is going to be a developer highlight, and being a MySQL person I'm very interested in the Postgres talk as that is a tech i've never really looked at properly.

The discount game finishes this week (1st October is the last day).

Hope to see you in Oxford!

Cheers
John

Would be good to have a catchup at allyourbase from the south west perspective. I work for a company in Chippenham where a lot our work is based around the statistical language R as well as web based/desktop interfaces on top of that. There's a fair few big data opportunities so would be good to talk with other people working in the area...

Jon.
