Uh, er, um....
I didn't realize there were quite that many.
Refers people to the code.google.com url. I wasn't really aware that
this existed, nor do I know wtf a 0.20 release is (the download is
binary, not source).
I wouldn't use it.
That said, codeplex is a place where developers will go to look for
source, so having a "pointer" there referring to code.google.com is a
good thing; I'm just not keen on there being a Download link to an
unknown version. (Nor, for that matter, do I know who created this page
and can update its contents.)
I wasn't aware that this URL existed either. It looks ancient.
Consider it obsolete. (I have no idea who maintains the page, nor how
to update/remove it.)
Alas, this is the top hit for "dblinq" through bing.com, and the "home
page" for linq.to/db.
I did know about this one. I'd consider this the "official" home
page...except I can't figure out how to actually edit the page. It has
some useful contents not duplicated elsewhere (e.g.
http://linq.to/db/Tests), and has a nice URL, but my inability to edit
it is a bit of a turnoff.
I also knew about this one, and is what I consider to be the only source
for the DbLinq source code.
Of course, you forgot a URL as well:
http://groups.google.com/group/dblinq
> maybe only one of them should be online? http://code.google.com/p/dblinq2007/
Given the present architecture, we need to have at least two online:
http://code.google.com/p/dblinq2007/
http://groups.google.com/group/dblinq
We can debate http://linq.to/db. It's the 4th link returned from
Google, so I'm not entirely keen on losing this "juice."
Though in an ideal world, we would have only one url: dblinq.org (which
would host source+mailing list+issue tracker+...).
Alas, I'm not interested in the maintenance overhead that would be
required in running a separate site, so the current two site solution
will remain status quo for now...
We could consider migrating the http://linq.to/db stuff into the dblinq
google group...

Yeah, we've been bad about that.

0.18 is ancient. I don't know what 0.20 is (and there's no source).
At present, svn is what should be used. (Does that suck? Yes. Am I
working on a 0.19 release? You betcha!)

"dblinq" is an improvement over "DbLinq"? I'm not quite sure what
you're referring to...

It's in mono trunk now. Why wait? :-)
(Though Mono 2.6 will be branching in a week, so you wouldn't be waiting
for long, if you were waiting for 2.6...)

Is there a way to make it so that only those with accounts can edit the
page, then keep most people from having accounts (e.g. you need an admin
to create an account)? mono-project.com follows this approach...

I think relying on a single person is a bad idea, as vacations happen,
as do side-tracking month+-long MonoTouch development projects...

Indeed. As I said, I don't mind there being an entry in CodePlex...if
we could remove the Download link (and the source, now that I think of
it). Having a link to code.google.com would help those who search
codeplex specifically and not from e.g. Google.
(Though is anyone that silly to just search CodePlex and not the
internet in general...?)
