Hi!  What is the best way to enable TestHistory from FitNesse into a DbFit environment?

We have set up a DbFit environment (dbfit-20080822.jar), but we need the TestHistory functionality from FitNesse, which was released at a later stage.

- When I added the latest fitnesse.jar to my DbFit environment, the TestHistory was enabled (the button appeared!), but the tests did not run, just timed out.
- When I set up a new Fitnesse environment, added my DbFit tests and the dbfit.jar file to this - same thing - it just times out after a bit

Am I missing something very obvious here?
What is the best way of doing this?

JanickeE:

My suggestion is to deploy FitLibrary + FitLibraryWeb over a recent version of FitNesse.

Database fixtures based on DbFIT can be run in that environment.

Since we are on the TestHistroy topic I thought I would post my question here.
We would like to disable "Purge >30days", "Purge >7days" and "Purge All" buttons from the page we get when clicked on "Test History" button.

Could you please tell me how could we do that ?

Thanks.

Hi again Jorge

Well, I have tried this twice and today I have managed to add FitLibrary and FitLibraryWeb to a clean FitNesse environment, and I see the DbFit jar-file in there (when I browse in my jar-files through Eclipse.)
But I'm having a hard time setting up the connection to the database - which was such a breeze in my DbFit-only environment.

So, where I used to have:

!|dbfit.OracleTest|
!|ConnectUsingFile|c:\dbfit\connect_u543xb.txt|
What do I need to write now to make the connection?  Keep reading about a DbFit wrapper in FitNesse but can't seem to figure this out...  Any hints?

Try using fitlibrary.database.Oracle instead of dbfit.OracleTest - that's the fitlibraryweb fixture/interface to dbfit. FLW only seems to support Oracle and MySQL though at the moment - the rest are comming soon...
