DARTS Meeting Notes April 30
Attendees: Norman Poti, Dave Wrinkle, Skye Malcolm, Jerry Shape, John Schmoll, Ken Davidson, Jim Martin, Don Fleming
Treasurer report: We had no expenditures for this month. We received $50 in club membership renewals. The balance is $1909.05. We have 20 paid members.
Old Business:
Green County Park: We have permission to mount a wind sock / weather vane on top of the pavilion. Mark Groves will measure the wind sock he has in his possession.
Ken Rice has delivered the Windsoar scoring system and Dave Wrinkle took it home to determine the status of the system and printer..
The club will consider purchasing a fire extinguisher for the contest box. Dave Wrinkle was authorized through a vote to spend up to $25 for this purchase.
Dave Wrinkle is further looking into tax and corporation implications for the EIN.
A discussion about increasing participation in the OVSS was held. Providing lunch is an option we will continue to pursue.
The general practice this year will be to utilize the on-line process to apply for contest sanctions. CD’s will request reimbursement from the club treasurer (Dave Wrinkle) for the sanction fee.
New Business:
Dave Rice and Ken Rice have decided to limit their involvement in DARTS activities. We are actively distributing their duties to other club members. The DART’s club thanks them for their service over the past several few years and wishes them a swift return.
Albie Salas has taken a 2nd winch home for temporary storage. We are actively looking for a new winch master so if you want to volunteer please notify us.
Albie Salas will coordinate with Ken Rice on a transition plan for trophy coordinator.
We are also in need of several replacement CD’s primarily for ALES dates. Review the calendar and let me know where you can fill in.
Future Meetings: The May meeting will be held on Tuesday 28 May 2013 from 6:30 to 8:00 at Twin Towers. Come early or stay late and fly.
