I don't know a thing about that brand of scanner.
I have an Epson RX700 (all in one) that will scan slides and
negatives. I have scanned quite a few slides and was able to add them
to iPhoto. An additional plus with some Epson scanners is color
restoration. I have tried that feature with prints, but have not tried
it with slides as of yet. I am not sure if Epson still makes all in
ones that will scan slides, but they do have scanners that will. You
should be able to find one that will handle slides for anywhere from
about $80.00 to $150.00, this includes software for Mac OSX.
Many brands of scanners have lighted lids that will allow for scanning
slides. When selecting one, look for one of the major brands (they
will most likely support Mac) and make sure the specs say that it will
handle slides.
In my previous looking at this capability, this type of scanner (or
all in one) was in the medium to high price range for consumer type
devices, not the least expensive in the product line.
One thing you don't say is the size of your slides, I was assuming
35mm since that has been the most commonly used for the past 50 or so
years. Scanners for 35mm slides and negatives will cost less than ones
that handle larger format slides. Another consideration is the optical
resolution on the scanner. The higher the resolution, the larger print
you will be able to make from the slide. Here again, most scanners
will be able to adjust the resolution up to the maximum optical
resolution of the scanner.
Hope this helps,
