I use the "For Ministry" web site for my congregation. Last week, I
uploaded a photo and it went up okay. Today, when I did my weekly
update, I found the photo gone. I deleted the panel. I uploaded
several of the same photos and got the message "This doesn't appear to
be a valid object" Using Firefox, I uploaded a jpeg and a tiff photo
with the same result. I closed the web site and then did a second run
to no avail.

Help. Any one have any ideas?

Bob, it used to be that images had to be all lower case letters in the file name. Someone at DAUG about 3 years ago told me that wasn't true anymore.  ????? Not sure, but I only use lowercase. Check your file names (or change them) and see if that works.

Also, (I upload with FETCH) in my process, all images must be filed in an image folder before they will upload, and the code must use the word "images" in addition to the file name, i.e. <img src="images/stluke2.jpg" width="216" height="130"> . Oh, and the width and height must be designated. I'm not sure if  you are actually entering the code, so this might not be of help to you. If you are using an automated program, then this is probably not helpful.

In other words, the site grabs the images which it has filed within it already (in an "image" folder). So, not sure how the automated program would work.

This is all I can suggest at the moment.

Bob,
I think that jpg and gif images are recommended. I think tiff images are too large.

I thought it must be on For Ministry's end. I dug around and found a
For Ministry tech support person online and on the phone. The main
server is down and the backup server does not accept images. It was
their problem. As soon as the primary server is up, I will upload my
photo.

Oh, good, Bob. There often is a simple answer like that!

At least, someone in DAUG taught me that.  : )
