My qualification is old as myself from the early 1980s. We did easy
repairs of changing out parts, draining sprinkler water and hair
drying interiors of Apple IIs, reseating the CPU & RAM chips and
upgrading monitors to 12 inch. Oh to be able to pop the top like an
Apple II !
When number of Apples and Macs exceed several hundred our crew of ten
was replaced with contractors that grew to 100 offsite. As more
national and international contracts were let HP was the successful
bider for contract including warehouse-supplier of chosen hardware as
I retired.
So my loyalty was molded by AppleSiders club membership and corporate
cost control policy. As pay was marginal but employment steady the
following of Apple and stock holdings has wandered,
but here now.
