Come join us in supporting Table to Table and the British Mitzvah Day!

November 13, 9am-12:30pm

We are picking citrus outside Rehovot

Bus transportation will be provided to meet the need

Mitzvah Day (http://www.mitzvahday.org.uk) was founded by good friends in England. It's a day that coordinates independent groups and individuals doing all kinds of charitable and community works (In England it's actually Sunday November 15, but they were thoughtful to amend the day for those of us in Israel who don't experience Sundays quite the way they do…). They have branched out internationally, including their recent partnership with Table to Table in Israel (www.tabletotable.org.il). The mission of Mitzvah day:

… to reduce hardship and poverty, to help our environment and to bring a little joy all through volunteering – not by fund raising. It is a way for all of us to make our mark regardless of our affiliation, level of religious conviction, wealth, age, sex or nationality.

Come take advantage before the winter hits…. Mitzvah Day will be sending t-shirts, posters and refreshments, and we will be returning photos of our enthusiastic participation.
