Subject: Training Tonight
Dear Dashers
It would seem we can gain access to the cricket boundary to do our training tonight so we can meet at the clubhouse as notified by Dave and jog out to the small cricket pavilion. Tonights session is in preparation for the 5k series which starts next Tuesday at Wargrave. The session is 10x400 with 1 min rest. The session is based on a target time of 1 min 44 sec which is 400 mtrs for those in the 22min 5k pace group. We shall run the session anticlockwise with the start position at the pavilion. The other positions are 18min - 500 mtrs i.e. 100 mtrs further clockwise. 19min - 470 mtrs, 20min - 440 mtrs, 21min - 420 mtrs, 23min - 380 mtrs, 24min - 370 mtrs, 26min - 30 mtrs 28min - 310 mts, & 30min 290mtrs (110mts anticlockwise). The reason I have give these positions is so that people are not wandering about like the lost tribes of Israel searching for their position. I think there are still people out there from the last session. The pace is about 1 -2 sec per 400 faster than your 5k pace so with a minutes rest you all should manage. see you tonight.
