Race Officers and Results Recording

I have had a number of problems entering results into sailwave
recently because the results recording sheets have not shown the full
sail numbers. In some cases this has been totally unnecessary as
there have been so few boats out that there should have been plenty of
time to write down the full sail numbers.

On busy Wednesday evenings it may be necessary to abbreviate the
numbers in order to get things written down fast enough. If this is
the case please could you record the FIRST THREE NUMBERS rather than
the last three numbers. This will make entering the results into
Sailwave so much easier as it automatically recognises boats that have
sailed before by the first numbers you type in. With the last three
digits I have to search through the sign on sheet, to find the boat
probably hasn't signed on, and then all previous results sheets. This
is why there are still a number of 4 digit lasers in the results with
no name next to them.

At Datchet there do not seem to be any more duplications between the
first three digits in sail numbers than there are in the last three.
