Does anyone know how to change the Serial Number of a Seagate 7200.12 disk?

Conray is right, any Firmware tool will do the job, Segate Doctor or PC3K

I have tried with PC3k but it is not a menu option, the factory data is in mod5 and you cant write to it.

I don't have a PC3K but you can contact their support for more info, I'm quite sure they support that.
HD Doctors Does.

I am actually looking at buying PC3K soon, how is their support?
is it really slow, at least helpful?

Opinions differ, but I think you can't provide your clients with the best possible results without it.
Support is not always good and the learning curve is about 2 years or more
You can't compare it to any other product.
