This had been on my to do list and i am proposing this as a task force
(even if it is a task force of one but i would appreciate
assistance ;-)

The reason i am proposing this as a task force is because long term
the maintenance and decisions of what goes in the grid and how it is
used will be a deliverable out of the DataPortability project on
behalf of DP and other groups and therefore i think an official
project deliverable (as opposed to daniela saying that she will do
it).

So i will be making this recommendation for an official task force in
the next Steering meeting call, i don't think there would be any issue
with this task force but under the governance framework being
developed, i can get working on it straight away before it gets
approved. (some work i already began following the summit)

Here is some history of why this Service Provider Grid Tool is being
proposed:

At the last Data Sharing Summit, a Group Session was lead by Marc
Canter to create a Service Provider grid that illustrated the state of
what features are available and if providers are using open standards
to implement them. You can find notes and what i currently have
available here: http://datasharingsummit.com/dsswiki/index.php?title=Service_Providers_Matrix

I volunteered to find a home for this grid so that it can be verified
and expanded upon and used by the various communities that are
interested in Data Portability. I apologize for the delay in getting
this finished- but it seems that now is a great time to make this
official and get it done.

i hope you support me and please contact me if you are able to help me
make this a value tool for all.

regards,
daniela

Daniela -

I see a dynamic version of this matrix as having a lot of uses for
various constituents.

I have a few cycles to spend on the project, so where do I sign up?
