Subject: Another aspect of communication - meeting followup with new attendees
Am sharing a truncated version of some email correspondence today.  I
think we have to put a simple activity/action item in place after we
have our in-person meetings -- where existing members follow up with
new attendees.

One thing we need to consider is whether engineers should do the
followup with engineers, because in this example, in Rajesh's response
to me below, he explains his specialty, and I think a fellow engineer
would be more knowledgeable as to how Rajesh could participate in
dp.org.

Meanwhile, if any of you guys would like to add to the followup with
Rajesh, just let me know and I'll share his contact details.  Thanks!
Mary

Hi again.  When you have time, check out this page and see if there's
anything that interests you.  Right now, the project's focus is
producing technical best practices.  Mary

Hi Mary,
I haven't received any communication from DP after the meeting. In any
case, I am more of a middle layer (between coders and end users) so
not sure how much I can contribute.
Thanks
Rajesh

Hi Rajesh -- thanks.  Have been meaning to write and ask if you
decided to join the dataportability project.  Mary

Mary,

We could do a Chamber of Commerce like system of 'Greeters' – pairing
new folks up with existing participants from their individual fields.
This could soften the barrier to entry a bit.
