Hello everyone in the Bay Area. We have a upcoming local event in San
Francisco on Thursday the 7th @6pm
http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/418890/

From the looks of it my small conference room at the Dow Jones office
is not going to cut it so i am currently talking to three other
gracious DP members to finalize the best space so please give me
another day **but regardless it will be downtown SF.

PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO AGENDA BY ADDING TO THIS DISCUSSION-

It will be good for all the local members to introduce ourselves and
to discuss how we want to contribute to DP as a local group.

We can review what we have done to date, how everyone can continue to
contribute and discuss any gaps that we can all work towards filling.

In addition, Chris Saad one of the founding members of the Data
Portability WorkGroup will be in San Francisco so it will be a great
opportunity to meet him in person if you haven't before.

I will publish final location details within the next 48hrs-

Please see http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/418890/ for other attendees
(although some do not have upcoming.org accounts)

PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO AGENDA BY ADDING TO THIS DISCUSSION THREAD and
then a final agenda will be published early next week based on
everyone's feedback.

thank you and i look forward to meeting all of you who i have not met
before!

Can someone record or make notes? I'm thinking about arranging one in
London soon.

Hi folks- we are going to try to video stream but i can not make any
guarantees that this will work (technically or logistically!)- so
please be patient with me!

Chat will be enabled on the ustream channel-but DP Action Group
members in attendance will also be on our Skype channels hopefully.

we will as i said in the above post make meeting notes and action
items available either way.

I would love to be there, but I'm speaking on a panel at another event
at the exact same time.

Gosh - now I would never have associated Jonathan Abrams with Open anything.

It's great to see he's come around.

Too bad Friendster wasn't open in 2004.

:-)

Or when they killed off all those Fakesters.

:-)

Gosh - now I would never have associated Jonathan Abrams with Open anything.

I tried to offer Jonathan a job at MySpace on Tuesday night, but he didn't seem interested. :P

Anyway, looking forward to seeing you all tonight.
