Using the Open Data

For my web application I would like to interface with the data through a mysql database and into google maps api. Financial Data 
  IMHO the most interesting set of apps would be around access, openness and accountability with respect to city finances. The ability to track forecast budgets versus actual and all that sort of stuff. Hey I might even be available to help with this project.
