Hi,

We're looking at demoing DataStage to some users and I just tried to install it.

Both the virtual machines currently return:

This folder has expired. Access to files is no longer available

So I've tried installing from the .deb on Ubuntu Oneiric 11.10

The initial apt-get install failed, so I removed dataflow-datastage and reinstalled it - which worked.

However, I have no idea what the admin username and password should be... and there's no instructions as to how to set them.

(not sure if this is better here or in the user forum...)

Hello Bhavana,
Oh sorry, understood. Just a thought, may be you could add this document
in the github wiki and add a link to it in the apt-repo page, so users
don't have to download a huge zip file just to read one text file. I've
done something similar with Databank. See
http://apt-repo.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/databank/

Cheers,
Anusha

The zip contains

and

DatastageDebianReadme-0.3.1rc2.txt

that have credentials information.

Hi Steve,

Forgot to mention this:-

The debian instruction docs DatastageDebianReadme-0.3.1rc2.txt is

available at: https://oxfile.ox.ac.uk/oxfile/work/extBox?id=3644978598465B88F

and  has all the credentials information and setup details.

Note: -

If you downloaded the VM you will find yourself having to use the system credentials stated in DatastageVMReadme-0.3.1rc2.txt

However, if you downloaded and installed the debian package, the system admin/password that you use to login into the system is what you use to run datastage ( use the same credentials of your machine when you need to do sudo). The detailed steps are available in DatastageDebianReadme-0.3.1rc2.txt

Also please note: - the system admin credentials are different from the web admin credentials.

If you downloaded the debian package on your own machine, then use your system credentials for full datastage access ( admin)

For web based admin ( login as TestLeader ) to navigate to web admin from datastage homepage (full credentials details in the .txt files )

Regards,

Bhavana Ananda

Thanks and Regards,

Bhavana Ananda
