To all,
Yes & no.....may be, but my thinking is that the 3D is not only for
presentation, but to aid the extraction for 2D construction plans. I don't
want to 3D everything in this regard, but to be able to extract enough to
make it worth while to start in 3d in the first place. Then by
updating/refining in 2D the extracted 3D items. In this regard, the smart
roofs/stairs appears to be the main missing items in DCX3 to build a basic
"smart" model with a lid on it.
So I'll still plod on in 2D with DC & roof builder tools etc & SU, if I need
a 3D model, but I'd really like this to be the other way around as noted
above. I'm still not too sure if the smart walls can be hatched. Therefore
for me, until DC gets a little smarter, the current smart stuff will be
little used.
Over & out,
Clayton.
