How to setup my markets with Metastock format?

The easiest way is to use the Easy Configuration (menu Tools -> Easy
Configuration).
If you want to do it manual it's also possible:

First choose the main exportfolder of your Metastock-database.(Menu
Item: 'Exportformat -> Metastock')

Example:
c:\data

You can put all the symbols you want to download in this folder, but
there is a maximum of 250,2000 or 6000 symbols in one folder depending
on the Metastock version you use.

If you create a list and download current or historical quotes of this
list, DataBull will write the data to c:\data.

You can create new subfolders to organise your symbols.

Example:
c:\data\nyse
c:\data\nasdaq
c:\data\london
c:\data\amsterdam
c:\data\frankfurt
c:\data\others

These new folders must be subfolders of the main folder (c:\data)

In this example create list 1 (menu Portefolio -> List management) and
put all the symbols of the NYSE which you want to download in it.
Goto menu Export Format -> Metastock and choose c:\data\nyse
Goto menu Download -> Current Quotes, choose list 1 and click on 'Go'.
All the current quotes for list 1 will be downloaded and written to c:
\data\nyse.

Now create list 2 (menu Portefolio -> List management) and put all the
symbols of the Nasdaq which you want to download in it.
Goto menu Export Format -> Metastock and choose c:\data\nasdaq
Goto menu Download -> Current Quotes, choose list 2 and click on 'Go'.
All the current quotes for list 2 will be downloaded and written to c:
\data\nasdaq.
Repeat this for every list.

When you are ready with all the lists goto menu Export Format ->
Metastock and choose c:\data.

In the future before downloading current and historical quotes
DataBull scans the main folder (c:/data in this example) and all
subfolders and knows where the symbols are located.

You can download all the lists at once, DataBull knows in which folder
the symbol is located. If DataBull doesn't know where a symbol is
located it will write it to c:\data.

While downloading DataBull writes the quotes to the proper folder,
DataBull also writes the name of the symbol to the Metastock-database
(MSFT with name MICROSOFT).

If the name has changed DataBull detects this and writes the new name
to the database.

Suppose GooGle is a new symbol and you want to add it to your list 2
how to do that:

Choose menu Tools -> Search symbol. Choose 'Search the internet' and
type 'GooGle' and click on 'Search'.
The symbol GOOG will be found. Right-click on it and add it to an
empty list (list 16 in this example).
Now goto menu Export Format -> Metastock and choose c:\data\nasdaq.
Goto menu Download -> Current Quotes, choose list 16 and click on
'Go'.
All the current quotes for list 16 (only GOOG) will be downloaded and
written to c:\data\nasdaq.
Goto list management (menu Portfolio -> list management), open list
16, right-click on GOOG and move GOOG to list 2 (Nasdaq).
And finally choose menu Export Format -> Metastock and choose c:\data.
GooGle has been added to list 2 and GooGle has been added to c:\data
\nasdaq. In the future you can again download all lists at once.
