Hey all,   Still could use a couple of articles for the zine. Night riding? Mountain biking? Commuting? bike shop culture? Internet bike culture (forums, listings etc.) intersections of other movements and women's bike movements? RNC bike exp?    Also, We REALLY need art and photos.  I took a couple at the Memorial Ride and I have a couple of random shots of myself, but I hardly make it to any bike events or group stuff.  You can e-mail me pdf, jpegs and whatnot, or I can scan them in if you drop them off at my house (e-mail me privately, I'm right off the Greenway) or we could even meet at a cafe and I can download them off your camera onto my computer.    All I need is the pic or drawing, a short description of where what when and who (if known) and whoever I should credit for the shot.  I try to be very careful as to what personal info is published since we do have Internet distribution as well as local (Microcosm officially and a couple of others who just sort of took them and started selling them without communicating with us) so please be very clear what you want published in the zine and what you don't :)   Finally if anyone has any idea for a women's group local or not, that we can spotlight in the next issue let me know.    Peace, Beth

i kin write a piece on night riding - sorry i've been so out of the loop - i've been.... well....  busy - fall semester is always like this.

and... i have a u-lock pic - it's tiny but cute....  60% of the bikes stolen at the U have cable / chain locks and 30% of the bikes stolen at the U were simply unlocked....  only 10% of the bikes stolen had u-locks....

and....  my students wrote a bunch of city papers - imagine you have been offered a cool new job and you're a committed bike commuter - how does the city look to you as a bike commuter?  would the bike commuting scene be a positive or a negative in considering the job?  i can ask a couple of the students if they are willing to have their papers published - either anon or with name....  what do y'all think?
