side-by-side diffing ?

I see this one short thread wrt side-by-side diffing:

Has anyone done any work along these lines more recently ? It seems the above
hasn't been (fully?) implemented.

In briefly playing around with daisydiff-1.2 on a fairly intensely changed file
(relative to the oldFile), it seems to do a good job overall (tho I only
skimmed the daisydiff output -- I didn't do a methodical check).

But having a nice side-by-side diff output would be very helpful.

From what I can briefly surmize, one would need to modify the generation of
the difference report document, as discussed in the thread above, rather than
just modify the css.

As far as I know, nobody is working on this.

As always, we accept patches if you are interested in working on it yourself.
