April 17 - Commissioned Still Life

"Still Life, Commission" I finally finished the commission for the
Del Mar Fair Art Education Presentation. I was selected as one of
about five different artists to do the same still life in different
media. Mine is the acrylic version. We were each given the same
photograph of the still life, and told to fill our canvases/paper
with the entire image. These 20 x 16 canvases will be collected and
framed and shown together to show the public how artists approach the
same subject and end up with unique personal visions from the same
starting point. Not for sale--being donated to the Del Mar Fair Arts
Committee. I tried to make the photo more interesting.
I've posted both the starting photo and the finished painting on
the April 17 day of Daily Paintings.
