Howzit everyone
Things have been quiet, and I do apologize for that. A bad combination of deadlines and last minute travel arrangements to Tokyo made daemon-kit take the back seat, but I at least had some time during and between RubyKaigi sessions to hack away at small features.
No release yet, but on master there is two new updates:
* process umask settings, as noted by Ben (unilogic on github), which now defaults to 0022 and can be configured easily (see bottom of Configuration.txt)
* cleaned up the hashes returned by DaemonKit::Config to recursively symbolize keys (when asked to) and recursively implement the magic attributes for access values.
I've also posted my lightning talk slides at
http://www.opensourcery.co.za/2009/07/18/daemonkit-lightning-talk-rubykaigi-2009/
There is some more ideas in the brain-to-post-it stage, the Kaigi proved very inspirational and it was interesting to hear the issues people have with background processes in Ruby...
Arigatu !
