The LIUDAO and BAMBOO - Assemblies are made up of people who are practicing
“zuowang” non-conceptual meditation (1 hour a day) in a minimum one-year
commitment. At present Liudao assembly has been meeting for more than 12
years and is full. The Bamboo assembly is open to new participants (see
website for how to get instruction and join). These assemblies happen each
month to study Laozi/Daodejing and the various practices of DYC.
*SPECIAL CLASS;* If you have interest in joining any of DYC’s
meditation/study programs Liu Ming is offering an introduction to the Three
Ways of Liudao meditation (*zuowang* [non-conceptual], *neidan* [inner
alchemy] and *lingxu* [intermediary or deity practice]) on Sunday 13
September from 1-5pm (by donation). This inaugurates a new cycle in DYC
heart-essence teaching through its practice/study curricula.
Instruction in the practice of zuowang will also be offered on Sunday 27
September at 10am. (free)
Check the DYC website for descriptions of the Liudao and Bamboo groups
practice/commitments.
The NOURISHING WITHIN series is about the inner/outer qi quality of the 24
Qi Nodes that define the seasons of the Chinese lunar almanac/calendar. What
food, conduct and medical treatments are most effective in calibrating our
qi to Nature (Dao) – what is health and synchronicity? References are made
to Chinese almanac astrology, medical Classics, Daoist, Buddhist and
Confucian philosophy and the direct experience of everyday life. These
classes are open to everyone. The class includes lecture, cooking class/meal
and discussion. (4 Category 1 CEUs for California Licensed Acupuncturists
are available [Provider #609]).

The MANTIC ARTS series presents Chinese Divination, Astrology and
Fengshui(geomancy) in lecture format. This series is not a course. It
is open to
beginners and advanced students. Each month the presentation will be about
an aspect of the Chinese mantic (divinatory) arts with time for
questions/answers about the various applications contained in Liu Ming’s
forth-coming Mantic Arts workbook. Those attending each session have an
opportunity to influence the following month’s subject matter.
Pre-registration is not required but email us if you can to let us know you
are coming.
