Hi, I am trying to figure out how to visualize subtrees in a
hierarchical dataset (with some cross-linking nodes).

More specifically, I would like to be able to click on a node and be
able to select all of its children and grandchildren and great-
grandchildren, etc.

A similar action is implemented in the ^6 keystroke (first neighbors
of selected nodes).
However, this ignores the directionality of the edges!
How can I faithfully traverse a directional network (which Cytoscape
creates by design)?

Thanks in advance for anybody's help/insights!

It has been a while. Does nobody have any suggestions for my query?

To my knowledge there is no plugin that does specifically what you want, but you might want to try the ShortestPath or the NetworkAnalyzer plugin...
Other than that I think that this is something that should be done programmatically.
Cheers,
Piet
