Hi all,

I am developing a Cytoscape 3 plugin version of my web application, called Responspredictor. For the the modelchecking feature, I want to color code the cells in a result table. For example see the attached screendump of the web version. Is it possible in Cytoscape to color code the cells in for example the node table? If possible, I could then add a tab to the table panel and used that for presenting the results. Thank you for your reply in advance.

Best regards,

Cor

Hi Cor,

We currently don't provide an API to customize the node/edge/network tables in Cytoscape 3.  What we did in the GeneMANIA app was create our own table and colour code it ourselves.  You can add your own tabs to any of Cytoscape's panels.  In GeneMANIA, we just added a new one to the Results panel.  You can find an example of this here:

In particular, CytoPanelName.SOUTH is the Table panel, and .EAST is the Results panel.

Hope this helps,
Jason
