Subject: Tools panel usage

I want to use the tools panel, may be creating tabs for my plugin..I went
through cytopanels tutorials and went throu this

"CytoPanels <http://www.cytoscape.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/CytoPanels>:
CytoPanel <http://www.cytoscape.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/CytoPanel> 1 ('Control'
appears on the left),
CytoPanel<http://www.cytoscape.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/CytoPanel>2
('Data' appears on the bottom), and
CytoPanel <http://www.cytoscape.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/CytoPanel> 3 ('Results'
appears on the right). By default, only the Control
CytoPanel<http://www.cytoscape.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/CytoPanel>will
appear, and it will automatically contain the network list and bird's
eye view component. The other panels will be hidden. "

so what number its for tools panel,so that i can write the code and use the
tools panel.For eg

CytoPanel cytopanel = Cytoscape.*getDesktop*().getCytoPanel(3);

this line will help me to do thing with results panel,so how abt tools
panel??

Hope I am explaining it clearly

Thanks

Hi,

The document you cited is old. Instead of 1,2,3, we now use the words,
SOUTH, EAST and WEST to represent the location of cytopanel. And each panel
got a name, i.e. Control Panel, Data Panel and Result Panel. You can look at
a sample plugin “How to add a tabbed Panel to Control panel?” at
http://cytoscape.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/plugin_developer_tutorial .

Hope this helps,

Peng

options such as rotate, scale, align and distribute clicking anyone of them
will give me the tools panel below the control..so if i want to create tabs
