Hello Cytoscapers -

We're very pleased and excited to formally release Cytoscape v3.0, effective
immediately!

We encourage you to give it a try!

For now, the official Cytoscape web site will continue to serve Cytoscape
v2.x, and you can access v3.0 by clicking the "3.0!" menu item (at the far
right of the menu bar) or by browsing directly at:

http://www.cytoscape.org/cy3.html

V3.0 represents a number of important changes, all of which immediately or
ultimately benefit Cytoscape users. We strongly recommend that before
downloading Cytoscape, you first orient yourself by viewing the Welcome
Letter (using the green button).

You can install v3.0 on the same workstation as your existing v2.x
Cytoscape, and we hope you will decide to use v3.0 *instead* of v2.x very
soon. (Support for v2.x will continue, but will diminish over time.)

Additionally, please note that for a limited time, we are offering a bounty
on v3.0 bugs . we're doing this to:

* Reward early adopters
* Get v3.0 out into our community early and in volume
