John & Ed's Crazy Beach Ramble

This is not a Cycle Wild camping trip, but it's unique enough that I felt it should go out to the list.  If you're the kind of person who thinks what we do isn't challenging or crazy enough, try this on for size - and if you'd like something more tame, please ignore this email.  Everyone have a great weekend, and here's John & Ed's trip announcement for May 13-15th!

Hello all!

First off, let me say that this is Ed's crazy idea. Ahh, absolved of responsibility... :-)  Also, not a sanctioned Cyclewild trip, just this thing that a few of us are randomly doing that a few of you might be crazy enough to think is a good idea.

We're thinking about riding to the coast on Friday, May 13, leaving Hillsboro about 7:00pm or so - after a nap after getting off of work. We'll ride through the night to Tillamook, and take another little nap in the wee morning hours when we get there. (at an unspecified location. Maybe pull up a little stretch of sand right on the beach if the weather cooperates?) Saturday - Play at the beach all day! Hike! Then camp at Cape Lookout overnight and return on Sunday, May 15th. 

I doubt this will be a huge group, what with the riding through the night and uncertain Saturday morning accommodations and all. But it'll be fun for a few of us hardcore weirdos!
