McKinley Bridge
|
| |
Hi, Does anyone know why the McKinley Bridge is closed to bicycles and pedestrians? It was late in the afternoon when I came upon the barricades, so I had to go around them since it was too late for the Chain of Rocks bridge to be an option. (I don't do East St. Louis) There didn't seem to be any issue... more »

Vadalabene Bikeway update
|
| |
Hi, I just got a call from a gentleman with the City of Alton. He was contacted by IDOT after I sent them an email from their web site. Supposedly, the section that is collapsed is because of a culvert that runs all the way under Route 100. The culvert is collapsed and the state is hesitant to fix it.... more »

There is now concrete/asphalt paving and it looks like rest rooms are in the works, as well as water fountains. The new pavement continues past where the Quercus Grove Trail splits off. Also, there is an 8 mile extension of the Nickleplate Trail to Alhambra,... more »

Moonlight Ramble rip-off?
|
| |
Hi, Is it for real that the Moonlight Ramble is now $30? You have to be kidding me. The ride used to be more of an event and only cost $1 to ride. I haven't ridden in the Ramble for quite a few years because it got a bit out-of-hand with people bar-hopping along the way and getting a bit inebriated,... more »

Hello, Those of you who have ridden the Glen Carbon Heritage Trail know that it is a rough go until you reach the new section created by IDOT and MCT that takes you into Marine.
