We have dropped support for AppleScript some time ago.

Hi,
could you consider any roll-back support of AppleScript or support
Automator action?

Patoch: You can use Terminal FTP/SFTP/SCP commands (do shell script
"scp …[terminal commands]") to replace Cyberduck's AppleScript, but it
is not so nice and sexy as Cyberduck's AppleScript :-)

I don't currently have this anywhere high up in my list of priorities I admit. My impression is that automation doesn't go together with a graphical user interface in a efficient way.

Please add me to the list of people who would like to see AppleScript scriptability restored. Shouldn't be that difficult to do (it isn't hard to put a few basic AppleScript classes and commands in front of your existing code by way of categories). This would make it easy to put uploading a file / files at the end of an existing scripted workflow. Right now I'm forced to use Fetch for this, and I don't like having to do that. :) m.

I'm not sure how you formed the impression “ that automation doesn't go together with a graphical user interface in a efficient way” and what parts of it aren't 'efficient'. I can tell you that those apps practically defining pro-DTP, apps like QuarkXpress, Photoshop & Illustrator, have been scriptable as long as AppleScript has been around and many, many people get invaluable leverage over their GUI-based apps in commercial/professional workflows in this way. Further examples are VB and AS scripting of MS Office apps/documents.

I actually just came to this user group to see if Cyberduck had Applescript support since I need to trigger a FTP download of the same file every 15 seconds. I have a shell script doing it but the script isn't working for my client and I thought this would be a reasonable workaround.

+1 for AppleScript support.

After all that, how do I execute a shell script to trigger a DL of the same file every n seconds with Cyberduck? I couldn't find anything in the online docs.
Thanks for Cyberduck hopefully I can use it to achieve this task.
