Illegal characters in path

I've just started using Cyberduck as an interface to Rackspace Cloud
Files, assessing whether this is a good secondary storage option for
us. My very brief experience with v4.1.2 on W7x64 is that it is very
buggy.
Discovery 1 was in the upload dialog - When I (single)click 'Computer'
in the navigation pane, the dialog closes and I see 'Error: Illegal
characters in path'.
Discovery 2 was a short time later, while I was AFK, the whole program
crashed. (I returned to W7's 'Application Stopped Working' message).
Are either of these known issues with known fixes?

Additional note - I installed the same version on someone else's
computer within hours and it works fine there.
Any system elements CyberDuck might be sensitive to? I have no other
application problems right now.

PPS.
The 'Application stops working' seems to be some interaction involving
the DVD drive while CyberDuck is stitting idle after completing a set
of uploads.

There is a similar issue [1] reported. Please post the `cyberduck.log` located in [2] to the ticket or send it to feed...@cyberduck.ch

As a workaround, try dragging files from Explorer to the Cyberduck browser window to upload instead.

I also get spurious timeout errors (the files actually arrived)
reported with virtually every batch of documents uploaded.

I see the 'similar issue' in the referenced ticket aw well, but the
primary scenario I'm describing isn't the sudden shutdown of the whole
Cyberduck application, but just of the Upload dialog. Drag & drop is
not effectively a workaround (though maybe another indicator), as MOST
of the time, I have the "no, you can't" mouse pointer if I try to drag
& drop from Explorer into folders visible in the CyberDuck window
(though not always).
