Office Hours Update

Nobody joined today's Europe/US Eastern office hours today, so there is
no transcript.

Per Hong's suggestion, I am going to try scheduling all this stuff
through a Google Calendar now, so you can try subscribing to this feed:

or perhaps this iCal:

I have also integrated the HTML edition of the calendar into your
Warescription page, so we're all working off of the same date.

Now, the bad news: after next Tuesday's session, office hours will get a
bit more sporadic and less consistent in terms of dates/times, courtesy
of holidays and a truly crazy travel schedule.

There is one scheduled for 9am US Eastern / 14:00 UTC on Friday,
November 27. I added that shortly after sending out my earlier email.

I want to add the calendar to my Google Calendar.

It gives me a drop-down list of options:
Live Bookmarks
Bloglines
My Yahoo!
Google

when I select Google, it gives me the choice of adding it to:
Google Homepage
or Google Reader

There's no option to add to my calender (unless it's one of the above).

When I try to add a friends calendar (in my calendar), it wants an email.

How do I add your calendar to mine?

Beats the heck out of me. If it weren't for Hong, I wouldn't be using
Google Calendar at all... ;-)

You might try the second URL, as that points to an iCal version of the
calendar, and that might be recognized better by Google Calendar.

I'm also using Google Calendar for this. I can confirm the 2nd option (iCal) is OK for me. Now I can see the Office Hour events on my Google Calendar and my HTC Magic.

To add the event to your Google Calendar, find the Other Calendars option on the left bottom corner, click on Add and then select "Add from URL".

Yes. I'm in Europe this week, so I have less typical windows for office
hours.
