It depends. Slime, the backend, works for abcl. However, perhaps not
cusp.
First, abcl must support unicode because cusp uses that as the
character encoding.
Second, i have noticed that even with lisps that do support it, like
ecl, it becomes flaky when trying to load a library that has some
errors in it.

Hello,

How hard would it be to use Cusp with ABCL instead of SBCL? I'm
writing a GUI library for ABCL and I'd like to have an Eclipse plugin
for it in the future, and Cusp looks like a promising starting point.

Hi, guys.

I have a problem installing Cusp. I have installed Debian Lenny with
Eclipse 3.2.2. After I choose to update Eclipse with remote site:

Then I installed SLIME from Synaptic package manager. Now when I set
LISP perspective in Eclipse I see errors with exceptions:

Hi all,

can I use Cusp to debug Lisp code in the way I use Eclipse debugger to
debug Java code. To be more precise, I want to put some breakpoints in
my Lisp code, run it and watch what happens with variables. Also I
would like to be able to use REPL to call some functions (both mine

Thanks Gorsal,

With the instructions and executable on the github website it is
working.
BTW I am using Ubuntu 8.04 LTS 64 bit and I tried various JRE from
1.5.0.21 to 1.6.0.17 with Eclipse SDK 3.5.1.
Java versions all work.

Yes was using 3.5 on jaunty. I will try 3.5.1 tonight to see if that
works.

I run cusp in eclipse 3.5 on 64 bit ubuntu.

Eclipse 3.5 and karmic does not play well together. Clicking buttons
does not work you have to click a button to give it focus and then press
space bar to fire the button.

I had issues when I installed Eclipse on an amd64 Debian Lenny install, it
basically boiled down to the version of Java, but I can't remember exactly
which steps were involved to sort it. Maybe try installing eclipse separately
and see if it will start.

Not sure, haven't heard about this error. I'm sure it shall be fixed

I am using Cusp successfully on 32 bit Ubuntu with built in sbcl
distribution and I like it. But my real development machine is 64 bit
Ubuntu with 64 bit multi threaded sbcl. There it does not seem to
work. I get the error output listed below.

Known problem ?? Setup problem ?? Anyway to fix it ???
