Hello,

The keyword in this group's function is facilitation and promotion of this event to occur on every College and University campus, as well as within every community world wide.  What several of us have discovered is that through InterCultural communications event promotions, the single most significant aspect is, to this day, preventive conflicts resolutions-both locally and Internationally. 

This lesson was first being taught by early academic pioneers such as Dr. Geral Goldhaber of University of Buffalo ( S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo ), and Dr. Joseph ( Yossi ) Ben Dak in his Phd. thesis on Conflict Resolution and his practical application, via his Foundation for Arab - Israeli Reconciliation; they occured within the era of social expansion and sociocultural revolutions of the 1970s.  Then, at the Buffalo State College ( S.U.C. at Buffalo ), a very small group of International Students / Scholars under the watchful faciliative observation of the College's International Students' Affairs Director, Dr, Jean Gunarde, this student organization created The International Cultual Fiesta during the 1980s.  This is still a landmark " historic " cornerstone, even though through matriculation of some of this groups leaders to University of Buffalo created similar events on campus there years later.

It is in these efforts where a broader range of not only social and cultural information can be discovered by the world community of itself, and it member communities, but in knowing who you and " we " are, and having created personal attachments as a result to other peoples.  This, the human connections, are the very nexus in which human understand develops an additional element in which the public can confront its own internal anxieties towards another peoples successfully; the prime condition for lasting peace and prosperity.
