The Loneliest Blade
This fencing martial path uses a single one-handed sword used one handed. It is about quick foot work combined with accurate slashes and quick thrusts. It seems to be a favourite with jovial pirates, gentlemanly thieves and slumming aristos - as if anyone could tell the difference.
It uses Coordination + Sword (broad, long, short and scimitar). Note: The off-hand must be free to help keep balance. The character cannot be clad in more than light armour himself.
The Two-step One-step (One point)
You can remove 1d of penalty when you use Dodge as part of an multiple action with your Coordination + Sword pool.
Twist and Lunge and Pivot (Two points)
You can aim for one round to ignore AR1 up to two rounds for for AR2. This is regular worn armour - no AR from magic or paths. You can combine the +1d bonus with the AR1 piercing by aiming for two rounds.
Example: White shirted Scaramouche Fandango is facing Grunston Hultenstein in glossy black plate armour. Instead of a full out attack, Scaramouche spends two rounds dances and dodges his way around Grunston, aiming, before lunging in 7+ED with a 3X6 set which,of slips past Grunston's AR2.
In and Out and Step Back (Three points)
You can remove 3d of penalties when combining Athletics, Dodge and Run as part of an multiple action with your Coordination + Sword pool.
Point the Blade at the Eyes (Four points)
You can squish your set by the highest of Coordination or Sword.
Then Use That Infamous Thigh High Slash (Five points)
You have a single freebie semi-MD which can be set to a number no greater the size of the Coordination + Sword pool. It can be used as Gobble Dice as part of a dodge multiple action or a successful attack set. Works with other special dice in the pool but cannot be added to their sets.
Example: Scaramouche Fandango has a Coordination + Sword pool of 7+ED. He can set his almost-a-MD to any number no higher than eight or what he set his ED to when using That Infamous Thigh High Slash.
