The Common Sword and Dagger Style

The Common Sword and Dagger Style -- or Common Style -- is a style formulated for merchants, finding themselves more and more upwardly mobile, after they figured they better learn the noble sport of sword-craft. It was not difficult finding mercenaries to teach them to hold swords like a thoroughbred officer.

The Common Style uses one-handed swords for Coordination + Sword and a dagger.

Shield Knife (One point)
The Common Style character ignores the one-die multiple penalty when using his sword and dagger as part of an Attack and Parry multiple action.

Rapid Riposte (Two points)
A character can remove up to 2W off his Coordination+Sword’s Width and added to a Body + Parry set in the next round or vice versa. If it isn't used, the 2W falls away. It only works frmo one to the other, not Sword to Sword or Parry to Parry.

Example: Stabbing Vilter tries to out-flank Foxter Cofo with a 3x4 attack and Foxter rolls a nice 5x7. 3x7 is enough to gobble Vilter’s attack with 2W spare. This 2W hangs over to the next round  when Foxter rolls a 2X1 attack -- which would normally be too slow for Stabbing Vilter’s 2x2 parry but his Foxter’s player can take the floating 2W and add it to improve his attack’s width to a blindingly fast and mean 4x1.

Sudden Switch Swipe (Three points)
If the character is attacking with the dagger, the knife hand’s Height (left-handed characters are 4 and 5 and right-handed characters, 6 and 7) is considered the same number and all dice of the same Height can be change between those numbers without loss.

Example: Foxter Cofo is attacking Mult Torrone with his dagger. Foxter’s dagger arm is his left (3 and 4). Foxter rolls 5 dice and gets a 1, 3, 3x4. Since all dice with a value of 3 and 4 can merge their values, Foxter can choose to have a 4x3 or 4x4 dagger attack set.

Carefully Casual Swing (Four points)
Any use of the sword hand’s Height -- left-handed: is 4 and 5 or right-handed, 6 and 7 -- is considered the same number and all dice of the same Height can be change between those numbers without loss -- even in an attack!

Also, Sudden Swipe Switch works with parrying too.

Snake Strike from the Sleeve (Five points)
If an attack misses, a rolled parry immediately turns into attack and the set can be adjusted by Rapid Riposte. This attack cannot be parried. If you added Width from Rapid Riposte the extra width stays.
