We talked about reporting bird locations from the field and getting
the most recent sightings.

Here's a recently released app that does this.

BirdsEye gives users instant access to recent reports of nearby birds
in eBird, the massive, constantly updated database of bird sightings
maintained by the Cornell lab and the National Audubon Society.
