Cufon rendering on iPad 3 - High Res Retina Display

I am wondering what ideas people have for getting cufon to render
higher resolution images for text so that cufon generated text appears
crisp on the new ipad 3 high res retina display?

Hi,

If you don't mind using a development version, just replace your cufon-yui.js with this file:

https://github.com/sorccu/cufon/blob/master/js/cufon.js

The issue should have been fixed there. It should be pretty stable, but compatibility with Firefox 2.0 is not guaranteed.

Hello, Im using this version to support RetinaDisplay but it makes all the backgrounds directly related to the cuffon elements to vanish.
