CUDPP failed to sort on 8600GT + CUDA 1.0 + Ubuntu 7.10 64bit

I have two card installed on my machine: 8600GT and 8800GTX. For
8800GTX, I can run cudpp_testrig without any problem. But for 8600GT,
it failed for all sort test (but others like scan and compaction are
fine)

I am running Ubuntu 7.10 64bit with CUDA 1.0 Toolkit and 100.14
driver. Is there anyone having the same problem?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the bug report (and the kind words of support). I don't
have Ubuntu installed, but I do have another 64-bit linux and an 8600
GT here on my desk, so I'll give it a try sometime soon on RHEL 5 64-
bit. Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for using CUDPP!

I have tried this on RHEL5 x64_64 on a GeForce 8600 GT. All of the
sort tests pass for me with CUDA 1.1 on a 169.04 display driver. So it
could either be a CUDA 1.0 problem, a Ubuntu problem, or both. The
CUDA 1.1 beta is now public (http://developer.nvidia.com/object/
cuda_1_1_beta.html).

Mark, can you update to 169.04 and CUDA 1.1, retest, and report back
your results?

Okay, I will give it a try later today or tomorrow.

Confirmed. After I installed CUDA 1.1 + 169.04 driver (64bit), it
works for 8600GT now!
