Any person(s) who/whom attended scaleconf want to give feedback on how
the companies that presented use Python to help "scale" their
products; and what the perceived strengths and weaknesses of Python
are in their environments?

Praekelt could probably give a brief talk, particularly since a) i think we'll also host the next ctpug, and b) our core (loosely coupled via queues) messaging architecture is prob. quite a bit more scaleable than traditional monolithic java aps.

If nothing else we can prattle away & draw whiteboard diagrams without much prep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He had read much of things as they are, and talked with too many people. Well-meaning philosophers had taught him to look into the logical relations of things, and analyse the processes which shaped his thoughts and fancies. Wonder had gone away, and he had forgotten that all life is only a set of pictures in the brain, among which there is no difference betwixt those born of real things and those born of inward dreamings, and no cause to value the one above the other. Custom had dinned into his ears a superstitious reverence for that which tangibly and physically exists, and had made him secretly ashamed to dwell in visions.
I was only there on Thursday but I didn't see any discussion of Python
per se. Both Nimbula and Praekelt use Python and Twisted heavily
though (and Python and Twisted were featured in Bryn's slides).
If we had a Nimbula representative, then from the Praekelt side it would also be educational for us if we had a discussion about how/why we use twisted python.
No reason why the 'presenters' shouldn't try to get educated as well ...
Implying there that Java apps are necessarily queueless monoliths  ? ;)
