Hi there, I just joined the group, so I hope you do not find me too
forward with my question.

I am looking for a web hosting solution, preferably hosted locally,
that supports Python. Does anybody have any recommendations?

I don't know any local hosting solutions, but Python Anywhere is great
for light-weight web-apps; it also integrates with Dropbox, which is
handy.
