I was wondering if anyone could clarify why there are two Sheridan &
Belmont stops (Stops IDs, 1154 and 1155). It appears that 1154 never
displays any information but I could just be checking at the wrong
times.

Regards,

Joe

Can you tell us where you're seeing 1154 listed?

Looks like Route 151 Sheridan Northbound. Interestingly, the duplicate does not appear on the CTA site.

It actually does show on the CTA site but they combine the stops. If
you look at the mobile site, you can see that the predictions are
being pulled for both 1154 and 1155.

The api call is this:

Sorry about the delayed response--I wanted to make sure I could explain the distinction properly so I went to our head of data services and he explained it to me. In short:
  • Stop 1154 is an end-of-the-line stop for northbound service on routes 134, 143 and some trips on the 151 (namely, ones that terminate at Belmont/Sheridan).

  • Stop 1155 is an intermediate stop on routes 135, 145, 146 and 151.
Does this explain what you're seeing, sufficiently?

I have another question about duplicate stops.  I'm getting three different State & Washington stops:

"Washington & State", "id": 448}
"State & Washington", "id": 1425}
"Washington & State", "id": 14227}

Any idea on what the difference is here?

Thanks,

Thank you for your thorough response. It's unfortunate that these two
stops do exist though because of the confusion it can create.

Thanks again.
