Hi everyone.
I am looking for new friends to travel with and to avoid those single
supplements. I live in California close to San Francisco.
I am an active 67 year old lady, when I say active maybe I should
amend that a little. I can't ski, water or snow, not into paragliding
or jumping from planes.
I do like to drive, walk and bicycle and of course LOVE to travel.
I would love to go an Alaska Cruise/Tour, Tuscany Coast/Italy Bicyle
Tour and/or
Safari in Africa, while I am still fit & healthy.
Is there anyone out there who would be interested in doing any of
these trips (I am open to suggestions for any others).

Hello, limeylady!
When you say Alaska cruise, what are you thinking of?
Cruise companies like Holland America go up there a lot. Which is
fine if you like to turn your itinerary over to others.
Ferries, on the other hand, carry local travelers as well as tourists,
and let you stop where you like, for as long as you like. Every
Friday, the Alaska Marine Highway ferry steams into Bellingham, Wash,
where I live, and heads back north a few hours later. You can get off
in Ketchikan (not sure why), Wrangell, Sitka, or Juneau, and look
around as much or as little as you like. Once in the panhandle, the
ferry runs are much more frequent than once a week...the only drawback
is not stopping in Vancouver, which is a city not to be missed once
you are up in our corner of the world.
I'm new to the site also, and want to start a thread about Australian
rail travel....

Hello, Limeylady
I am looking for a travel companion for a Panama Canal cruise,
hopefully in early February 2009 or maybe January 2009. Are you
interested in that? I am also interested in an Alaska cruise but not
sure of when. I am a woman, 61, and hoping to avoid single supplement
and have companionship. Last year I met a woman through CSTN and we
traveled to Egypt together and had a wonderful time and just last
month, we went together on safari to Africa. She's already done many
cruises, Panama included. I have never done a cruise, so this would be
a new experience for me. I would be interested in hearing from you
about Panama Canal or Alaska.

I'm not sure if I could ever find your question and search again but I
noticed you live close to me and maybe we can call each other. My #:
1/707/558 0998.
I would be interested in a Safari / Africa / Trip. I'm the same age as
you're. Please, let me know. Karin
Have no clue how this website works but try to keep an eye open for
your respond.
