John Terry (Airtrash) was injured in a skydiving accident at Chester
on Saturday. He asked me to post this on here. He has a broken pelvis,
a shattered hip socket, & splinters on 3 of his vertebrae. He was
jumping his birdman suit and got into a spin which he could not
recover from. He couldn't deploy the main and the cypress deployed the
reserve. He landed out in a field 3 miles from the DZ. He had a hard
landing trying to avoid a barb wire fence. He was airlifted to
Carolina Medical Center. He is in ICU right now. He is scheduled for
surgery on Tuesday. He is in good spirits and said it will be a while
before he can get on here. If you have any questions call me. -Jon

Airtrash,

You are in my prayers.  When do you think you'll feel up to a visit?

John is not on his computer yet. I have been speaking with Dianne, his wife, daily. She prefers no visitors and not even a telephone, yet. Surgery may be delayed, not sure right now. It will be a long time before he walks again.

Ed, Do you have an address that we could send cards to?  That would be one way we could show our support and wishes without being intrusive in this difficult time.

Airtrash, your are a tough old bird and I know you can recover from
this. You have my best hopes and wishes that your not in too much
pain and we can get back in the sky again together by next summer.
For now my friend just heal well and while you are know that far more
people care about you than you may know.

I asked Diane for an address and she said she would get one for me. That was several hours ago. I know her mind is occupied, but I will get it. John had a rough night. The surgery was postponed until Friday to try and stabilize him.  Something is going on that they will not understand until more tests are done.
