Procedure for surrender of DIN as error occurred while filing form DIR-3 KYC

Dear members, 

As I filed form DIR-3 KYC but error was occurred that

The Id number (PAN CARD) entered already exist against an active another DIN but this DIN no. is not in used (enclosed error occurred while pre-scrutiny). 

In that, there is only one option to surrender DIN or any other way to file DIR-3 KYC before due date.

Please let me know the procedure for filing of surrender of DIN is DIR-5 is sufficient along with required attachments or make application in RD-1 also.
